Vehicular Bridge and Drainage

Moorside Place, Burnaby, B.C.

A structural and moisture assessment was completed for the pedestrian and vehicular bridges within the residential complex. The vehicular bridge showed signs of water infiltration, structural distress, and bearing pad damage. Immediate temporary support was proposed.

A bridge deck repaving with moisture-resistant design, along with new drainage and filtration systems for future structural resiliency.

Scope of Work

  • Moisture testing and asphalt condition inspection

  • Structural evaluation of bridge deck and railing system

  • Temporary steel shoring design for collapse prevention

  • Waterproofing and drainage upgrade plan

  • Cost estimates for emergency and long-term repair

  • Long-term drainage design and construction
